Transgender - Is The Voice's Sasha Allen a girl?

Sasha first announced as transgender at the age of high school. Sasha was faced with some challenges but knew his family would support him and music was a way to assist. Jim and Sasha are both song writers and were just recently forming an official music duo. Since then they've performed at many local venues such as open mics. While The Voice coaches did not talk about Sasha's background, the duo as well as Jim shared their life journey in an introductory clip played prior to the show. Sasha started playing guitar when she was just six years old. The pair discussed their music tastes and told stories of the first time they met. The musician was able to grasp the music form more easily since his father was an educator. Sasha is a woman who was born, and had a difficult time defining himself as a child. In a recent Instagram post she spoke out about the struggles he had to face. Jim however, was overwhelmed with emotions as the post explained how he was unable to stay present through those difficult times. Sasha Allen was born as a woman. The age of Sasha Allen will be 19 by 2021. In the year Sasha was a freshman at his high school years, he came out as transgender and started transitioning into male. Sasha shared to Instagram: "I'm proud to be the third person of transgender to appear in the program. I'm so grateful to represent the trans segment of the community."
